Jorge Campos of South Main Street was arrested on Tuesday, Feb. 5, following the execution of a warrant that uncovered a device containing numerous files of child pornography within his home, said Norwalk Police Lt. Terrence Blake.
The investigation into Campos began in August 2018 after the police department's Special Victims Unit received a “cyber tip” from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Blake said.
The cyber tip indicated that several media files containing child pornography had been uploaded from a location in Norwalk to a website on the internet.
Detective James Thompson conducted an investigation and determined the location from where the files had been uploaded, which led to Campos.
Campos is being held on a $25,000 bond with a court date of Feb. 14.
